Undergraduate and High School students engage in interdisciplinary research activities within the Research Laboratories and other units of the School of Social Sciences, with work plans that involve the B.A. in Social Sciences, the Graduate Program in History, Politics, and Cultural Heritage, the Audiovisual and Documentary Center, and the CPDOC Archive.
The research projects in our Program are coordinated by professors and researchers at FGV CPDOC and last for 12 months, starting in September each year, with a workload of up to 20 hours per week. Throughout the year, participants become part of the School's community, engaging in both general and specific academic activities. At the end of the experience, students present their work results in a final report and at the Undergraduate and Pre-College Research Program Symposium, organized by FGV's Provost Office. They are also encouraged to disseminate their research through various formats, including presentations at academic events and the production of podcasts, videos, social media content, among others.
