Objectives:
The Professional Master's Program in Cultural Heritage and Social Projects is designed to provide qualification or continued education to higher level professionals working or intending to work, either from an applied perspective or from an academic perspective, with historical and social research, production, preservation and diffusion of cultural heritage, and making or implementing public cultural policies and projects.
It is expected that the Professional Master's Program may meet the interests of those working in the field of study of the program through the acquisition of theoretical and methodological instruments to tackle new challenges, implement innovation projects and improve their professional practices.
It is also hoped that the course will be an option for young undergraduates wishing a solid academic background to prepare them to work with heritage, memory centers and projects of social impact not only in the field of culture, but also in administration, tourism, education, communication and sports, whether in private companies, in government agencies or in the third sector.
Finally, the Program has been designed to educate high-level professionals up-to-date with the methodological and epistemological debates that characterize the field of History and Social Sciences. By providing this level of education, our goal is to offer the students from the Professional Master's Program the option of pursuing an academic career.
Target Audience:
The Professional Master's Program in Cultural Heritage and Social Projects is for all those holding a higher education degree — regardless of their background — wishing to improve their qualifications and qualify themselves to work in an expanding area. Graduates may choose to be self-employed or to join private sector institutions, including corporations, planning and consulting firms; the public sector, including ministries, secretariats, heritage agencies, state-owned companies; and the third sector, such as NGOs and foundations.
