The Professional Master’s Program in Cultural Heritage and Social Projects was created in 2003 by an experienced team of professionals from the Center for Research and Documentation of Contemporary History of Brazil of Fundação Getulio Vargas (currently, School of Social Sciences — FGV/CPDOC). After thirty years of historical heritage research activities, CPDOC created the pioneering Professional Master's Program, initiating the activities of the Graduate Program in History, Politics and Cultural Heritage (PPHPBC).
The Professional Master's Program in Cultural Heritage and Social Projects is, therefore, part of an institution with extensive experience in the management and production of public goods. It holds of one of the most important documentary archives of the history of Republican Brazil. It includes about 200 personal archives of public figures and over 7,000 hours of oral history interviews. A pioneer in the gathering of heritage, and in the academic reflection on them, CPDOC is a reference for those working in similar institutions or for those wishing to initiate projects related to the field of memory and documentation.
With 247 papers presented by December 2020 and score 5 in the last two evaluative processes of CAPES, the Professional Master's Program in Cultural Heritage and Social Projects of CPDOC combines the academic and professional expertise of its faculty with the diversity and potential of its students.
The Professional Master's Program in Cultural Heritage and Social Projects does not offer scholarships. Payment can be made at a lump sum or in monthly installments.
