The Professional Doctoral Program started in 2021 and is the result of the Professional Master's Program in Cultural Heritage and Social Projects created by FGV CPDOC in 2003 and highly rated by Capes. It is committed to both improving the professional training of its students and to transforming the country's reality.

Continued education on culture and social projects with applied research skills is an urgent demand from Brazilian society. Graduates may have a key role in companies, governments and civil society due to their management skills and scientific intelligence to design, evaluate and creatively transform public policies. Besides, it is impossible to think about the country's development without a range of Cultural Heritage and Social Project products that support the making of intelligent long-lasting public policies. Likewise, the promotion of an applied scientific culture based on evidence and critical reasoning is key to the improvement of public debate in the areas of Cultural Heritage and Social Projects, where opinions without empirical support still abound.

The Professional Doctoral Program in Cultural Heritage and Social Projects does not offer scholarships. Payment can be made at a lump sum or in monthly installments.
