The standard duration of the PhD program is eight semesters.

Yes. One of the optional subjects may be replaced by a subject from another master’s or doctor’s program recognized by Capes, provided that this is previously communicated to the Coordinators of this Program and is worth at least four credits (60 class hours).

Academic Master’s Program in History, Politics and Cultural Heritage:
The standard duration of the Academic Master's Program is four semesters.
The Academic Master’s curriculum should cover the development of a thesis, and the following subjects: two mandatory subjects (“History and Social Theory” and “Research Methods and Techniques”); two optional subjects, and two research seminars (activities to be defined by the advisor), each worth four credits or 60 class hours.
Tuition sessions can take place from Monday to Friday, from 2 pm to 6 pm.
On campus, but in view of the uncertainties of the current pandemic, mandatory subjects and one optional subject will be offered online (live) in 2021. The second optional subject will be hybrid, where 48 hours will be on campus and 12 hours will be online. Due to the exceptional circumstances that we are going through, incomers will be able to complete most of the credits online and will not need to come to campus. For the remaining credits, if the Ministry of Education does not allow to complete them online, we will seek solutions to help the students complete the credits (such as fast-track courses or other solutions).
